How to get here
Andøya is the northernmost island in the Vesterålen archipelago. All our hotels are located on the nothern part of the island, in Andenes and in Bleik.
Despite being a remote island where tranquility is a way of life, Andøya has a lot of tourism and as such, there are many ways of getting here.
Coming from Lofoten, Narvik or Tromsø, you will have to pass by Sortland, road 85. Once here you get onto the local road 82 towards Andøya and Andenes. Road 82 ends in the harbor of Andenes and, driving from Sortland, it will take you about 1,5 hours to get here.
During the summer months May- August a local ferry crosses three times daily from Andenes to Senja/Gryllefjord and back. If you are coming from the north it will be the most convenient way to travel, however please note that you cannot make a reservation for the ferry, so you will have to be at the ferry terminal at least an hour prior to departure. During the summer Norwegian offers direct flights from Oslo to Andøya. Many guests also choose to fly to Harstad/Evenes airport and rent a car. It is a 3,5 hours drive up to Andenes, but having a car once on the island is a great advantage.
There are daily departures from Andenes to Sortland. From here you can transfer bus to Lofoten, Harstad, Narvik or Tromsø. Timetable
